Richard Pierce Milner’s compositions have been broadcast nationally over National Public Radio and performed at Lincoln Center. Milner has appeared in solo concerts at Carnegie and Merkin Recital Halls and Symphony Space in New York City. He has also written for the Martha Graham Dance Company and has been an Artist in Residence at the University of Illinois, at Na Bolom in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Mexico and at the Stedelijk Museum in Holland.

As a filmmaker, Richard has been a producer and director for ABC Network News, New York Times Television, National Geographic, and PBS Frontline; an editor of dramas for Hollywood studios and for ABC Network, and an editor of NBC and PBS documentaries.

Milner was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which was the earliest and most lasting influence on his music. He has also lived in Amsterdam, Holland; Taos, New Mexico; New York City and Saranac Lake, New York; Durham, North Carolina; Des Moines, Iowa; Athens, Ohio, and San Cristobal de Las Casas, Mexico.
