Music. Its unique language touches the deepest fibers of our emotions - most often beyond what mere words can do. Christi’s piano creations will captivate you with fresh, interesting, and sometimes unpredictable turns in the stories the tunes themselves will tell.

Christi has lived and traveled all over the world throughout her lifetime.  Influenced by numerous cultures and ways of life, home is wherever she finds people to connect with and perhaps another piano to play.  Growing up, she would spend her “practice” time making up her own melodies unbeknownst to her mother, who had sent her to the formal livingroom to practice her lesson assignments.  Learning to read, process, then play the notes on the page was a laborious, miserable task, but she could pick out nearly any pop song or TV commercial by ear.  Through growth and time and real life opportunities, her sight-reading skills made progress, but she kept on creating.  Friends began to request notation of her compositions.  Others suggested that she make a recording.  This eventually developed into a cherished hobby.  A new path to connect with even more people.

One of her best-loved accomplishments is a flute/piano piece called “Dragonfly Frenzy” which she wrote for her daughter to perform on flute.  The piece won a local concerto competition, and was transcribed for orchestral accompaniment at the performance.

“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.” Christi is grateful for the gift God has given her to simply enjoy making music and also for the opportunities to share it with others. She is eagerly awaiting the release of her second professionally recorded album in June of 2019.

Christi currently resides with her husband and son and Mr. Beeks (the rooster) near Knoxville, TN.  She and her family enjoy camping, boating with friends, and getting involved with various activities in their church community.  They especially love spending time with their grown children and new grandson - the cutest tiny human - on planet earth.
