Home is in the rugged landscape of the Alaskan Interior. Raised traveling in an Air Force family, childhood music lessons were sporadic but we always had a piano. As an adult, I began to play from my heart while living in a small ski resort community. There were no musicians in our tiny church so I volunteered to give it a try. Hours were spent daily on the piano, writing and painting with mountains, trees and snow as the backdrop; toddlers played at my feet. I remember being surprised when a neighbor said she looked forward to hearing me on the piano whenever she was at home. I didn’t know anyone was listening! Music has been a spiritual gift and solace; a peaceful gift of healing.

My husband and I recently relocated outside of Fairbanks. The quiet, solitude of Alaska is our home and an awesome place to create new music, paintings and a garden.
