Angelika Gabris

Angelika Gabris

Angelika Gabris

Composer of modern classical music for piano and other instruments. Her first compositions were inspired by minimal music and created in search of music that would accompany the translation of one language into another and support the melody of speech. This was followed by other compositions, intended as accompaniment to songs, theater, ballet…and independent performance pieces.

She was born in Munich, grew up and lives in Vienna. She began playing the piano at age 8, took lessons at the Music School D’Orsaygasse and the Blüthner Music School with teacher Thilo Plaesser in Vienna. She studied Translation Studies (Spanish, French) at the University of Vienna and attended lectures on music theory at the Faculty of Musicology.

All her life and during her travels through Spain and Latin America, she always has music in her mind and creates compositions. She then plays these melodies on the piano and composes instrumental music. For all the piano pieces she also writes the sheet music.
