November – the last month of autumn, the 11th month of the year, the month of Indian Summer, Thanksgiving and the beginning of the Christmas season, the month of storm clouds darkening the sky and impressive rainfalls, the month of the first snow after a warm summer and a golden autumn.
November – the month that embraces you in warmth and leaves you in the freezing cold, the month that personally affects me the most, the month of my birth, of many emotions, blessings and extreme loss. This album is a personal collection of memories and landscapes of growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountain region of Northern Virginia and a small farming community in rural Upstate New York. These songs are images and observations of my personal experiences of autumn, particularly
November. Behind every song is a story, behind every story an emotion. Some are good memories, others are emotionally difficult. But that is life – and these songs are my life. I hope they bring you something that you can connect with – be it a journey of joy or melancholy.
