A Southern Sun
  • Released: July 31, 2013
  • 14 track(s)

For 2014, A Southern Sun is the longest album from Joseph and the first of all originals in four years. “I wanted this album to reflect my southern roots more than previous albums,” says Joseph. Tracks such as “A Southern Sun”, “A Tennessee Morning” and “Watertank Hill” leave no doubt this artist is a Tennessee native. However, this collection does not lack variety. Tracks such as “Along Stones River” and “An Inspiration” are neo-classical new age pieces, whereas “Dancing on the Sea” and “Muscadine Wine” give the listener a taste of jazz. Nominated for Album of the Year at Enlightened Piano Radio and Top 30 Best Solo Piano Albums of 2013 by MainlyPiano.com. RJ Lannan said, “A Southern Sun is fourteen tunes of idyllic life in Tennessee and seems to span the seasons, delve into daydreams, and praise the everyday miracles of life.
