Shuna

Lancaster, UK

Patrick Stacey AKA Shuna is a classically trained pianist, composer, arranger and song writer based in Lancaster, UK. He spent much of his youth around Argyllshire, Scotland, which had an enormous impact on his musical sensibilities. His radio debut was in 2001 on Singapore Airlines in-flight radio station, and his compositions have since been aired on BBC Radio Scotland’s “Take the Floor” show, BathFM Radio and BBC Radio Bristol’s “Introducing” show in 2010. These featured his celtic and new age tracks, which the DJs described as “fantastic”. His music has been published on WOA label’s compilation album “Goa Chillout Zone volume 3” (10,000 units distributed worldwide), and Streaming Picture’s “We Twa”. He also has non-exclusive contracts with Jinglepunks and Sentric music, and is a member of the MCPS-PRS Alliance.

Much of this musical accomplishment is derived from his main projects, which are: Shuna, Diphthong Sound Club, Spacey and the Astronaut and Monsoon Day, which reflect his compositional versatility. Shuna is an instrumental project influenced by Enya and Yanni.  Diphthong Sound Club is a partnership with Singaporean Flautist Atman, being akin to Café Del Mar and Bhudda Bar, Spacey and the Astronaut is in the alternative genre, while Monsoon Day is singer-songwriter. Currently, Patrick is also fronting a newly formed indie pop band called \‘Brandy in Geneva\’, soon to release their first EP in early 2012.
